Behavioral Health Benefits

Behavioral Health Benefits

When you or your family members need a place to turn for mental health or substance abuse issues, your behavioral health program can help.

Emergency Health Situations

If you or a covered family member are in a life threatening health situation, call 911 or go to the nearest hospital.

The hospital will contact us through the toll-free number on your behavioral health benefit card, and a licensed professional staff member will assist you. In consultation with hospital staff, the Humana Behavioral Health care manager will authorize the appropriate level of care.

Depending on your behavioral health benefit plan, it may be necessary to transfer you to a facility in the Humana Behavioral Health network.
